White Elephant: observatory on the top of the mountain

The largest wonder of the mountain of Pip Ivan is a highland observatory, ruins of which tower on the top. People call the observatory “White Elephant”. They say that in winter covered with snow and ice and blew with strong winds the outlines of observatory reminds figure of an elephant.

One-day tour to Churches and Castles of Ternopil Land

Ternopilschyna is a land where in old times was situated the border and now Volhynia and Galicia come together.  Therefore, it has both Orthodox and Catholic churches built in styles specific for some particular historical territories. Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra. All interested are free to visit morning liturgy (at 6:00 a.m.). The main relics of the monastery: miracle-working of  Pochaiv Mother of God, wonder-making hallows of Saint Iov, trace from Mother’s of God sole where miraculous spring is.

Zbarazh sightseeing tour

Nearby its walls took place severe battles between Cossacks under command of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Polish authorities under command of Yarema Vyshnevetsy. This place like a magnet attracts travelers. A giant stone in the middle of a green meadow surrounding with Cossacks’ crosses (graves of the 17th century) and above all these walls of Dominican monastery of the 13th century and bell tower  of Voznesennya catholic church of the 17th century. The temple was ruined in times of two world wars (now you can see there traces of bombs and bullets).In our days only small church functions nearby.
